Meet Kulbir Kaur

I’m a strategic growth and operations specialist with nearly 30 years’ experience delivering at national scale across private equity, public and private sectors and an experienced Board Advisor.

My career has spanned media, employability, education, hospitality and healthcare, including leadership roles responsible for national government funded contracts such as:

• Access to Work
• Access to Work Mental Health
• Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA)
• BT Vocational Rehabilitation Services (via Remploy)

I have worked directly with central government departments, national employers and university leadership teams, managing complex contracts and multi-stakeholder delivery.

One of my initiatives included designing and launching a bespoke dyslexia assessment programme for BT Openreach engineers, supporting hundreds of employees within a six-week period and receiving commendation at Scottish Parliament level.

I bring commercial discipline and operational clarity to every organisation I work with — combining strategic thinking with hands-on implementation with experience in helping launch multiple start ups

Today, through Surge & Co, I work with leadership teams across education, healthcare, hospitality and private equity backed businesses to design, launch and scale high performing ventures.
